Syrup for Sanctuary began in 2018 as Syrup for Syria, a homegrown charity started by our family as a way to turn our backyard sugaring hobby into funds to benefit Syrians displaced by war. Due to worsening conditions for immigrants here in the US, we relaunched the charity as Syrup for Sanctuary in 2025 to provide assistance for immigrants whose due process rights have been violated by the Trump Administration. We now operate 100 taps, producing pure maple syrup to make your donation a little bit sweeter.
